The Pakistan Football League has signed a major partnership with Dream Sports Group to improve football infrastructure and revive the sport across Pakistan. The agreement is being seen as a significant step toward addressing long-standing challenges in the countryโs football ecosystem.
According to league officials, the partnership directly targets the shortage of FIFA-standard venues, which has been one of the biggest obstacles to footballโs growth. Under the plan, both organizations aim to construct 100 new sports grounds across Pakistan by the year 2028.
The initiative will also focus on developing modern football academies alongside the new stadiums. These academies are expected to create structured pathways for young players, helping them progress from grassroots to professional levels while improving the overall talent pool in the country.
PFL Chairman Farhan Ahmed Junejo welcomed the collaboration, stating that the revival of football is now closer than ever. He highlighted that since the leagueโs launch in 2024, the lack of proper infrastructure has delayed its full rollout.
He further emphasized that the leagueโs mission is to provide opportunities to young talent and allow aspiring players to represent Pakistan on both domestic and international stages. The new partnership, he said, will play a key role in turning that vision into reality.
Meanwhile, DSG Chairman Qaiser Baryar described the agreement as a game changer. He noted that the project goes beyond infrastructure, aiming to create opportunities, inspire youth, and reignite nationwide interest in football through modern facilities and proper development systems.
