Honda City Owner Left Shocked After 56 Liters Were Billed Into 42-Liter Tank at Islamabad Aramco Pump

A Honda City owner has raised serious concerns after an alleged fuel overcharging incident at a petrol pump in Islamabad. The incident took place at a well-known fuel station on Srinagar Highway (H-13).

According to the car owner, he was billed for 56.28 liters of petrol. This amount exceeds the official fuel tank capacity of his vehicle. The Honda City 2015 model has a manufacturer-stated tank capacity of 42 liters.

The owner explained that his car already had fuel before refilling. He said the vehicle showed a remaining driving range of about 165 kilometers. This suggests that around 9 to 10 liters of petrol were still in the tank.

During the refueling process, the situation became concerning. The owner noticed that the fuel meter kept increasing beyond expected limits. He asked the attendant to stop when the reading reached 54.37 liters.

At that point, the owner questioned how the amount could exceed the tank capacity. However, the attendant reportedly claimed that the car could hold up to 60 liters. This statement further raised doubts for the motorist.

After a brief argument, the owner allowed the process to continue. The pump then added another 1.91 liters of petrol. This brought the final total to 56.28 liters.

The owner was charged Rs. 22,211 for the fuel. He believes the reading was technically impossible. He has raised concerns about the accuracy of fuel dispensers at petrol stations.

This incident has sparked wider questions about transparency in fuel measurements. Many motorists are now discussing the possibility of irregularities at petrol pumps.

Experts say such cases should be investigated carefully. They stress the importance of regular checks and calibration of fuel dispensers. Authorities have yet to respond to this specific complaint.
