Pakistan Hajj Mission Returns 4,308 Riyals To Pilgrim in Makkah

The Pakistan Hajj Mission has once again demonstrated strong commitment to pilgrims through its Lost and Found Cell in Makkah. Officials successfully recovered and returned a lost belt containing cash to a Pakistani pilgrim.

According to details shared by Rana Mujahid, Shift Incharge of the Lost and Found Cell in Makkah, the incident involved a pilgrim named Usman Shahid from Lahore. He arrived in Jeddah via Saudi Airlines flight SV-3735. During his arrival, his Ihram belt fell off and went missing.

The belt contained 4,308 Saudi Riyals, equal to around 325,000 Pakistani Rupees. The Pakistan Hajj Mission team acted quickly after the loss was reported. The item was first found by Haider Ali, team lead stationed at Jeddah Airport.

Despite no identification documents inside the belt, the team ensured safe handling of the belongings. The recovered item was transferred to the main Lost and Found Cell in Makkah under secure procedures.

Meanwhile, the pilgrim had already reported the missing belt while staying in Building No. 301 in Makkah. The Pakistan Hajj Mission team then began verification work to confirm ownership.

Officials stated that the pilgrim provided accurate details about the belt. He also shared the exact amount of money and identifying marks. After full verification, the claim was approved.

Rana Mujahid explained that strict checks were completed before handing over the cash. He said the system ensures transparency and trust in all cases handled by the Pakistan Hajj Mission.

After confirmation, the pilgrim was invited to the office. He was then formally given back his belt and full cash amount.

Usman Shahid expressed deep gratitude after receiving his belongings. He said he had been very worried about the loss. He praised the Pakistan Hajj Mission for its honesty and quick response.

He also appreciated the efforts of both Pakistani and Saudi authorities. According to him, their support made his pilgrimage experience much easier and safer.

Officials of the Pakistan Hajj Mission stated that their main goal is to serve pilgrims. They also advised pilgrims to stay careful and keep their belongings secure during travel and stay in holy cities.
