Marka-e-Haq Event Causes Traffic Disruptions in Islamabad Ahead of Ceremony

Marka-e-Haq Event Causes Traffic Disruptions in Islamabad Ahead of Ceremony

Islamabad is preparing for the high-profile anniversary ceremony of the Marka-e-Haq Event causes, scheduled for Sunday night. Authorities have announced strict security measures, road closures, and traffic diversions across the capital.

The Marka-e-Haq Event causes major changes in city movement as top civilian and military leaders are expected to attend the ceremony at Pakistan Monument near Zero Point. Officials have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during peak hours.

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon confirmed a detailed traffic and security plan for May 10. He said the Marka-e-Haq Event causes temporary road shutdowns from 6pm to midnight across several major routes in Islamabad.

One of the busiest roads, Srinagar Highway, will remain closed from Korianwala Chowk to Peshawar Mor. Similarly, traffic from Faizabad to Khayaban Chowk on Islamabad Expressway will also be suspended for certain routes.

The Marka-e-Haq Event causes significant diversions for commuters traveling between Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Authorities have issued alternate routes to reduce congestion and ensure smooth movement.

Drivers coming from the Motorway are advised to use Jinnah Avenue or Margalla Road via 9th Avenue. Travelers heading towards Murree or Bhara Kahu must follow alternative routes through Murree Road, Faizabad, and IJP Road.

Traffic from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will also be redirected through Fakhar-i-Alam Road, IJP Road, and 9th Avenue. Officials have warned that delays are expected due to heavy security arrangements.

The Marka-e-Haq Event causes further restrictions on heavy transport vehicles. Authorities have imposed a complete ban on HTVs entering Islamabad from 4am to midnight on May 10.

Light transport vehicles will also be diverted from Rawat T-Cross towards Rawalpindi during peak hours. Citizens have been advised to plan travel in advance and cooperate with traffic police.

Earlier, residents witnessed fighter jet rehearsals by the Pakistan Air Force. The aerial display was part of preparations linked to the Marka-e-Haq Event causes, drawing public attention across Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

In addition, the Pakistan Airports Authority has warned of possible flight delays at Islamabad International Airport. Disruptions may continue from Friday to Sunday due to security and operational requirements.

Authorities have urged citizens to stay informed and follow official updates as the Marka-e-Haq Event causes continue to impact traffic and travel arrangements across the twin cities.
