GTA 6 has become the best-selling game on the PlayStation Store, even though it is still five months away from its official launch. The strong early sales show the massive excitement surrounding the game worldwide.
A recent PlayStation Store chart placed GTA 6 at the number one spot. The game has moved ahead of major titles like Fortnite, NBA 2K26, Marvel Rivals, and Call of Duty.
The success is not limited to PlayStation. GTA 6 has also climbed to the top of the Xbox Store sales chart after pre-orders officially opened. This shows strong demand across both gaming platforms.
Rockstar Games recently launched pre-orders for the much-awaited game. Players can choose between two versions. The Standard Edition is priced at $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99.
The Ultimate Edition includes extra in-game content. Many fans are reportedly choosing the premium version despite the higher price. This reflects the strong hype around the title.
Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will officially release on November 19, 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Every pre-order also includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. Buyers will also receive a free month of GTA+ for eligible digital purchases.
There have been claims on social media that GTA 6 has crossed 50 million pre-orders. However, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not confirmed these figures.
