A reported interruption on Indian television has sparked widespread discussion on social media after videos claimed that Pakistan’s national anthem briefly aired during a regular broadcast. The incident surfaced amid a fresh wave of Cyberattacks targeting media organizations on both sides of the border.
The authenticity of the viral videos and the alleged cyber incident has not been officially verified. However, the reports have fueled debate as digital security concerns continue to grow between Pakistan and India.
According to claims shared on social media and referenced by some Indian media outlets, television channels including TV9 Telugu and Freedom TV Kannada were reportedly affected by suspected cyber intrusions.
One of the most widely discussed claims suggested that TV9 Telugu experienced an interruption while broadcasting a live address by the President of India. During the reported disruption, Pakistan’s national anthem was allegedly played for a short period before the channel resumed its normal programming.
Despite the widespread attention, neither the television channels mentioned in the reports nor Indian authorities have issued an official statement confirming that a cyberattack occurred. No official explanation has been provided regarding the reported broadcast interruption.
Cybersecurity specialists say that if unauthorized access to a television broadcast is confirmed, investigators would likely launch a detailed forensic investigation. Such an inquiry would focus on identifying the method of attack, determining who was responsible, and examining whether vulnerabilities in the broadcasting system were exploited.
The reported incident comes as Pakistani media organizations are also facing repeated Cyberattacks on their digital platforms.
Geo News recently disclosed that its websites and social media accounts have been targeted by hackers over the past several days. According to the broadcaster, multiple attempts were made to gain unauthorized access and publish content without permission.
The organization said its cybersecurity teams successfully blocked several high-risk intrusion attempts. Geo News also confirmed that it has informed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and requested regulatory support to strengthen its digital security against future attacks.
Another Pakistani broadcaster, Samaa TV, also reported a cyber incident earlier this week. The Urdu-language news website was allegedly compromised after unidentified hackers replaced its homepage with their own message.
The altered webpage displayed the name “Hind Cyber Ghost” along with the message, “No System Is Secure.” The attackers also identified themselves as “Jordan X Alpha 02” and added a music feature to the hacked page.
The group claimed responsibility for taking control of the website and described the incident as only a demonstration. They also warned that more targets could be attacked in the future.
Shortly after the reported breach, visitors attempting to access the Samaa TV website encountered a 502 Error generated by Amazon CloudFront. Experts noted that such an error may occur after Cyberattacks, but it can also result from server outages or technical configuration problems. Therefore, the error alone does not confirm the exact cause of the disruption.

As investigations continue, no official agency has verified the claims regarding the reported Indian television interruption. Authorities and cybersecurity experts are expected to closely monitor the situation as digital threats targeting media organizations continue to increase across the region.
