Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has postponed the Intermediate Second Annual Examination 2026 Computer Science papers scheduled for November 10 in Jhelum district.
The affected examinations will now take place on Monday, November 30, according to the revised schedule announced by the board.
The decision applies to both morning and evening examination groups in Jhelum. Students appearing at examination centres in other districts under BISE Rawalpindi will follow the original timetable.
The postponement comes ahead of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s expected visit to Jhelum and Pind Dadan Khan on November 10.
The Jhelum district administration requested the examination board to change the paper date because of extensive security and administrative preparations for the chief minister’s visit.
In a formal communication to the BISE Rawalpindi chairman, Deputy Commissioner Jhelum explained that the visit would require the deployment of administrative staff and security personnel across the district.
The administration expressed concerns that these arrangements could affect the smooth conduct of the scheduled examinations. It therefore recommended rescheduling the papers to avoid difficulties for students and examination staff.
Following the request, BISE Rawalpindi approved the revised date for the affected Computer Science examinations.
The new examination arrangements are as follows:
| Examination Details | Revised Information |

Both examination groups will appear on November 30 according to their respective morning and evening sessions. The board has confirmed that students will use their previously allocated examination centres.
The revised arrangement covers examination centres in Jhelum, including Government Girls Higher Secondary School No. 1 Jhelum, Government Comprehensive High School Jhelum, Government Higher Secondary School Jhelum, Government Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan High School in Pind Dadan Khan and Government High School Sohawa.
BISE Rawalpindi spokesperson Arslan Cheema confirmed the development, stating that Controller of Examinations Mubashir Saeed had issued the notification regarding the postponement.
The board has also clarified that the change is limited to Jhelum district. Candidates appearing for the Computer Science papers in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, Talagang and other areas under its jurisdiction will sit their examinations on November 10 as originally planned.
Regarding examination documents, the board will issue updated roll number slips to affected candidates. However, students can also present their previously issued slips when appearing for the rescheduled papers.
The decision is intended to prevent administrative and security arrangements for the chief minister’s expected visit from disrupting examination activities in Jhelum.
Students affected by the change should update their preparation schedules and follow further instructions from the examination board.
