Ranbir Kapoor has revealed that his character in the upcoming film “Animal” was inspired by his late father, Rishi Kapoor. The 40-year-old actor, who plays the role of a merciless gangster in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, shared at the trailer launch event in New Delhi that he sought inspiration from his father’s fierce aura.
During the event, Ranbir expressed, “Whenever I’d meet Sandeep, I always told him to give me a reference. I have never heard or felt like this.” He explained that subconsciously, he kept thinking of his father, noting, “It was the way he used to speak – he was a very passionate and aggressive man.”

The trailer, running for three minutes, portrays Ranbir’s character as obsessively loving towards his father, who raised him to be a violent individual, contributing to the intense nature of the lead character.
“Animal,” which also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol, is scheduled to be released on December 1. The film will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
