Apple specifically warns users not to use the rice method, as small particles of rice could potentially harm the iPhone.
Instead, if your phone gets wet, Apple recommends gently tapping the phone with the connector facing down to remove excess liquid. Then, leave the device to dry for at least half an hour before attempting to charge it again. It’s also important not to use external heat sources or compressed air to dry the phone, and to avoid inserting foreign objects into the connector.

If your iPhone still doesn’t work after attempting to dry it, it’s best to turn it off immediately, avoid pressing any buttons, dry it with a towel, and place it in an airtight container with silica packets if available. Charge it only when completely dry.
These precautions are essential for all iPhones, including water-resistant models, as water damage can still occur unexpectedly.
