Two Suspected Terrorists Killed in Peshawar Blast

The Board Bazaar area of Peshawar witnessed a tragic incident on Sunday as at least two suspected terrorists were killed while transporting an explosives-laden motorcycle. The explosion also resulted in the injury of another individual. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), addressing the media, revealed that the three suspects were riding a motorcycle carrying four to five kilograms of explosives when the blast occurred.

The SSP further stated that it is too early to determine the intended target as the investigation is still ongoing. Following the explosion, the injured individuals and the bodies were promptly shifted to a medical facility, and a heavy police contingent reached the scene to conduct a search operation.

The bomb disposal unit’s report clarified that the explosion was not a suicide blast but a premature detonation during the transfer of explosives. Thankfully, no civilian casualties were reported in the incident. The suspected terrorists unintentionally became victims of their own explosive material, as the detonation occurred before reaching their intended target.
