In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, two Pakistani citizens have been apprehended in connection with a significant drug trafficking operation. According to a report released by the Saudi state-run news agency, the Investigation and Search Department of Riyadh Region Police conducted the arrests after discovering that the individuals were allegedly utilizing a residential unit for the distribution of narcotics.
Following their apprehension, the suspects have undergone legal procedures and have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action. Saudi security authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to drug smuggling or trafficking.

This recent incident is not an isolated occurrence, as there have been previous instances of Pakistani nationals in Saudi Arabia being arrested for involvement in drug-related offenses. In August of last year, a Pakistani national was detained in Tabuk for methamphetamine dealing, while three Saudi citizens were apprehended for trafficking another banned substance.
Moreover, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken strict measures against drug crimes, including the execution of individuals involved in drug smuggling. Notably, two Pakistani nationals were executed for smuggling heroin, marking the first instance of the death penalty being carried out for drug offenses in nearly three years.
These incidents underscore the gravity of drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia and the country’s commitment to combating such illicit activities. The authorities remain steadfast in their efforts to uphold law and order, protect public safety, and eradicate the scourge of drug trafficking from the kingdom.
