Pakistan dominates Turkmenistan to secure the Central Asian Volleyball title.

In Islamabad, Pakistan emerged victorious against Turkmenistan with a score of 3-1 to clinch the Central Asian Volleyball Championship title held at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Friday. Led by Murad Jehan, the Pakistani team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, securing a resounding victory in the finale.

Pakistan’s players displayed dominance against Turkmenistan’s defense, securing the first set with a score of 25-21 and extending their lead with an even stronger performance in the second set, winning 25-19. Although Turkmenistan managed to bounce back and secure the third set with a score of 25-20, Pakistan retaliated fiercely, clinching the fourth and final set with a commanding score of 25-14 to seal the match.

Throughout the event, Pakistan won a total of 15 sets and only conceded the second-best position in three sets, showcasing their exceptional performance and skill. In the third-place match, Kyrgyzstan emerged victorious against Sri Lanka with a score of 3-1, with game scores of 25-20, 25-17, 20-25, 25-23.

Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, also holding additional charge of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he commended all participating teams and particularly praised Pakistan for their outstanding performance. He announced a prize money of Rs500,000 for each player of the Pakistani team.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended his congratulations to the national team, hailing their superb performance and highlighting the exemplary talent and teamwork demonstrated throughout the tournament. He lauded Pakistan’s flawless record of winning all six matches, expressing pride in the team’s achievement.
