The reality show Bigg Boss 18 has removed a donkey named Gadharaj from its lineup after facing allegations from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). The animal’s inclusion had sparked criticism, leading the organization to file a formal complaint against the show’s producers.
Amid viewer concerns over the ethics of using the donkey, PETA stepped in and confirmed the removal via a social media announcement. In a detailed letter to Bigg Boss host Salman Khan, PETA expressed concerns about Gadharaj’s treatment, citing confinement, loud noise, and bright lights that caused distress to the animal.

Appealing to Salman Khan’s compassionate side, PETA urged him to ensure the welfare of animals by excluding them from the show.
They also highlighted health concerns for Gadharaj and called for the removal of all animals from the reality show in the future, emphasizing the ethical issues of using animals in stressful environments like television production.
Following public outrage, the show finally decided to remove Gadharaj from the Bigg Boss house in response to the backlash.
