Security Forces Eliminate Nine Terrorists, Including Two Suicide Bombers, in Bajaur

In a significant operation in the Bajaur district, Pakistan’s security forces killed nine terrorists, including two suicide bombers, according to the military’s media wing, ISPR. The operation, conducted on the night of October 23-24, was based on intelligence reports regarding the militants’ presence in the area.

The forces executed a precision strike on the terrorists’ hideout, resulting in an intense exchange of fire that led to the elimination of nine individuals, including a key ringleader identified as Saeed, also known as Qureshi Ustad. A substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered during the operation, which targeted militants involved in attacks on security forces and civilians. Ongoing efforts aim to clear the area of any remaining threats.

Additionally, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested three suspected members of the Fitna al-Khawarij group in Karachi. The suspects, identified as Farhad, Haji Rehman, and Sagheer, were apprehended following a raid prompted by intelligence reports. This operation follows an attack on a police checkpoint in Sohrab Goth, which resulted in the death of an officer and injuries to another. The Fitna al-Khawarij group claimed responsibility for the attack. During the CTD operation, authorities seized three pistols, and the arrested suspects are linked to the Molana Bashir faction of the group, indicating plans for further attacks. The confiscated weapons will undergo forensic analysis.
