Prominent Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik recently praised Pakistan for its exceptional hospitality during his visit, expressing deep gratitude to both the Pakistani government and its people. In particular, he acknowledged the warm reception provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, describing it as “more warm than expected.” This marked Naik’s first official visit to Pakistan, though he had previously visited privately in 1991.
During his visit, Dr. Naik emphasized the importance of unity among Muslims, urging the community to set aside differences and work together towards shared goals. He called for stronger ties between religious scholars and political leaders to promote unity and development. Naik stressed the significance of embracing the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah to address global challenges, praising Pakistan’s commitment to religious harmony and its role in promoting peace both domestically and internationally.
In one particularly notable event in Faisalabad, a Christian girl named Samreen publicly embraced Islam during one of Dr. Naik’s lectures. Samreen expressed her desire to convert, and Dr. Naik led her in reciting the Shahada after confirming that she was converting willingly and without any pressure. Her conversion was met with joyous celebrations from the audience, marking a memorable moment during Dr. Naik’s visit.
