Senate Committee Recommends 25-Year Minimum Jail Term for Rape Offenders

During a Senate Committee on Interior meeting led by Senator Faisal Salim, a proposed amendment was introduced to impose stricter penalties for rape offenses.

Senator Mohsin Aziz, who presented the bill, argued that current punishments are too lenient and called for life imprisonment for convicted rapists.
