Representatives of Green Enclave-I allottees met with Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) Project Director Mohsin Sardar on Friday to discuss the long-delayed housing project and seek updates on its progress.
The meeting focused on the pending work in the Green Enclave project and the assurances earlier given by the housing authority. The allottees urged officials to speed up development and hand over plots without further delay.
The delegation included Chaudhary Amjad Ali, Chaudhary Ahsanul Haq, Aslam Chaudhary, Rana Arshad, and Tahir Mahmood. They represented thousands of government employees who invested in the Green Enclave housing scheme.
Speaking during the meeting, delegation leader Chaudhary Amjad Ali said many allottees had been waiting for years to receive possession of their plots. He said the delays had caused serious difficulties for families who planned to build homes under the project.
Amjad Ali explained that many people who invested in the scheme have now retired. He added that some allottees passed away before getting possession of their plots. He said this situation has increased frustration among affected families.
In response, Mohsin Sardar said talks with the joint venture partner are close to completion. He said both sides have almost finalized mutually agreed terms for the project.
According to the FGEHA official, the agreement will soon be presented to the Executive Board for final approval. Once approved, the remaining hurdles in the Green Enclave project are expected to be removed.
Sardar said this would allow infrastructure work to restart and move ahead without further interruption. He assured the delegation that the authority is working to complete all pending formalities quickly.
The Green Enclave housing scheme is considered an important project for federal employees looking for residential plots. Many allottees have been waiting for years for progress on the development.
Officials believe the upcoming Executive Board decision could be a major step toward restarting the project and resolving the concerns of thousands of affected allottees.
