Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, and 19 other individuals were formally indicted in the Race Course case during a jail trial at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Monday. The hearing, overseen by a special judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), also included the indictment of former Governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema and other prominent figures linked to the case.
The Race Course case involves allegations of violence and unrest connected to political protests, though specific charges were not disclosed during the court proceedings. The indictment represents a significant development in the case, moving it forward into the next phase of the judicial process.
