Azma Bokhari Defends Punjab Govt’s Efforts on Smog and Economy

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari held a press conference where she highlighted several key political and governance issues. She praised the Punjab government’s efforts in combating smog and criticized opposition figures for their role in worsening the country’s economic difficulties.

She further asserted that Punjab was on track to present a surplus budget, countering claims of financial instability, and highlighted the government’s initiatives in healthcare, including a dialysis program and improved facilities accessible to all Pakistanis, regardless of their province.

Bokhari also responded to accusations about fabricated reports regarding Punjab’s financial deficit, vowing to take legal action against those spreading misinformation. She assured the public that health initiatives like the dialysis card, which would provide up to Rs10 lakh in benefits, would soon be available.

Finally, the minister called for greater transparency in politics, emphasizing that political issues should be addressed openly and with integrity.
