The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refused to accept the resignation of former cricketer Mohammad Yousuf, who recently stepped down as a national team selector due to personal reasons. Media reports suggest the PCB may offer Yousuf new roles within the board, possibly including two or three different positions. Additionally, the PCB is considering approaching former cricketer Abdul Razzaq for future roles.

Yousuf, known as one of Pakistan’s most successful batsmen, expressed pride in his contribution to the national team and cricket’s development. He had an illustrious career from 1998 to 2010, amassing 7,530 Test runs and 9,720 ODI runs. Notably, he holds the record for the most runs in a calendar year in Test cricket, scoring 1,788 runs in 2006.
