The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather across most of the country, with light rain and snowfall expected in the northern and hilly areas in the coming days.
Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Kashmir, and nearby mountainous regions are likely to see light rain and snowfall at some locations. Fog is anticipated in the plains of K-P and Pothohar region during early mornings, while southern Punjab and upper Sindh may experience light fog as well.

Islamabad is expected to stay cold with partly cloudy skies, while areas like Murree, Galyat, and surrounding regions may witness light rain and snowfall. Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad are also expected to see light rain and snowfall.
The northern parts of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will remain cold, with occasional rain and snow. In Sindh, cities such as Sukkur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, and Mohenjodaro may face foggy conditions in the morning, affecting visibility.
Balochistan will experience mainly dry and cold weather, with clear skies expected, and Quetta’s temperature could drop to minus two degrees Celsius. Ziarat and Kalat are likely to see even colder temperatures, reaching minus five and minus four degrees Celsius, respectively.
The plains of Balochistan, including Jiwani, Pasni, and Gwadar, will experience cold winds, while areas like Pishin, Sarawan, and Khanuzai will have partly cloudy skies. Light winds and cold temperatures are expected in Musa Khel, Dera Bugti, and Rakhni.
Residents in the northern regions are advised to take precautions due to the possibility of light snow and chilly weather. Drivers in southern areas should be cautious of fog, especially during early mornings. The PMD has urged the public to stay informed about weather conditions, particularly in mountainous and fog-prone regions.
