Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar and Turkey’s Professor Fahrettin Altun have agreed to strengthen media ties between their nations. The collaboration includes joint broadcasts by Pakistan’s PTV and Turkey’s TRT, featuring popular Turkish dramas like Ertugrul Ghazi.
The partnership aims to promote cultural exchange, counter misinformation, and address Islamophobia through public diplomacy. A working group under Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Turkey’s Directorate of Communications will oversee the initiatives.

Tarar praised the historic relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye, emphasizing the importance of deepening ties through media collaborations. He highlighted the potential for these efforts to foster greater understanding among younger generations.
The discussions also covered opportunities in tourism and entertainment. Tarar invited Altun to Pakistan to explore new cultural and media ventures between the two countries.
