Senator Faisal Vawda has expressed certainty that Imran Khan will likely face conviction in the ongoing £190 million corruption case. While commenting on the case’s repeated delays, Vawda confidently stated that although the dates may shift, the ultimate verdict remains unchanged.
Speaking on a television program, the Senator added a dramatic twist by revealing that a major scandal is expected to surface on January 22. Vawda warned that failure to address this scandal appropriately could result in severe legal consequences, including possible imprisonment. “I am part of this scandal myself,” he admitted, suggesting that any legal action would be met with resistance from his side.

Vawda also cast doubts on the success of talks between Pakistan’s government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, expressing skepticism over any significant progress post-January 20. He criticized the PTI’s previous moves, such as filing a case against Rana Sanaullah, calling it a “petty and unjustified” decision.
The £190 million case continues to see delays, with a trial court deferring its judgment for the third time after Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, failed to appear in court. Judge Nasir Javed Rana, presiding over the Islamabad Accountability Court, has reserved the verdict since December, but the accused’s absence has led to continuous postponements.
