Netflix has acquired the rights to adapt Stephen King’s 1981 novel Cujo into a new feature film. Produced by Roy Lee, the project is currently seeking writers.

Previously adapted in 1983, Cujo follows a mother and son trapped in a car as they fight to survive a rabid St. Bernard’s attack. The film joins a growing list of King’s works being reimagined, including The Monkey, The Long Walk, and Welcome to Derry.
