Pakistan on High Alert as Possible Indian Strikes Loom — Response Will Be ‘Decisive’

The Pakistani government has expressed deep concern over what it describes as credible intelligence suggesting that India may launch a military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that India appears to be planning such an action based on baseless and false accusations linking Pakistan to the recent Pahalgam incident.

He criticized India’s approach, accusing it of acting as “judge, jury, and executioner” in regional matters—an attitude he described as reckless and destabilizing. Tarar emphasized that Pakistan, having been a long-time victim of terrorism, understands the pain such violence brings and continues to condemn terrorism in all its forms on the global stage.

In a move to demonstrate its commitment to peace and accountability, Pakistan offered to allow a neutral, independent investigation into the Pahalgam event. However, officials expressed disappointment that India seemed to reject this peaceful approach and instead opted for confrontation.

“The unwillingness to agree to an impartial probe casts doubt on India’s true motives,” the statement said, further accusing New Delhi of allowing public emotion to influence critical strategic decisions, possibly for internal political purposes.

Pakistan has issued a strong warning, stating that any Indian military action will be met with an immediate and firm response. The government also called on the international community to recognize the rising tensions and hold India fully responsible for any potential conflict and its consequences.

Despite the rising threat, Pakistan reiterated its strong commitment to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The government stressed that the nation stands united and ready to counter any form of aggression.
