Two Arrested in Karachi for Using Fake Documents to Secure US Visas

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle has apprehended two suspects in Karachi for attempting to acquire US visas using fraudulent documents.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the individuals — identified as Muhammad Tauseef Khan and Imran Nazir Salhari — were arrested outside the U.S. Consulate after being found with forged medical papers intended to support visa applications on health-related grounds. The arrests were made in response to a formal complaint filed by the U.S. Consulate.

Investigations revealed that the suspects were collaborating with agents named Aqeel and Tabsum Zia. Reportedly, Tauseef had agreed to pay Rs1 million to agent Aqeel, while Imran Nazir had promised Rs2.5 million to Tabsum Zia in exchange for arranging the visas.

The suspects are accused of attempting to deceive the consulate by submitting fabricated medical documentation. Legal proceedings are underway following their arrest.
