Pakistan’s Operation Banyan-um-Marsoos Responds Firmly To Indian Aggression

Pakistan’s military leadership announced on Sunday that Operation Banyan-um-Marsoos had been successfully executed in response to recent Indian aggression, fulfilling a national commitment to safeguard sovereignty. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry revealed that the operation was launched following Indian missile strikes on May 6 and 7, which tragically killed innocent Pakistani civilians, including women and children.

In retaliation, Pakistan’s armed forces targeted 26 Indian military sites, inflicting substantial damage to critical military infrastructure. The ISPR DG specified that Fateh F1 and F2 missiles were deployed against Indian positions in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and several areas within India’s mainland, including Avantipora, Ambala, Pathankot, Suratgarh, Sirsa, Barnala, and Srinagar. He extended condolences to families affected by the Indian attacks and commended Pakistan’s robust air defense systems for intercepting most incoming missiles on key Pakistani airbases.

General Chaudhry also accused India of attempting to destabilize the broader region by launching strikes into Afghanistan and carrying out drone attacks, moves he described as dangerous escalations. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire for peace but issued a clear warning against continued provocations, emphasizing that Pakistan remains vigilant and ready to defend itself at all costs.

Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb, in a separate briefing, lauded the Pakistan Air Force’s performance, proudly stating a “6-Nil” score in their defensive operations. He emphasized the PAF’s preparedness and adherence to the Air Chief’s directives in safeguarding the nation, underlining Pakistan’s firm stance in protecting its territorial integrity.
