Karachi police have confirmed that the body discovered in a residential apartment in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area belongs to veteran Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan.
According to officials, the body was approximately a week old at the time of discovery. Ayesha Khan had been living alone, and it was only after a strong odor began to emanate from the apartment that neighbors alerted her family members.

The body was initially taken to Jinnah Hospital and later transferred to the Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth for further procedures.
Earlier, actress and friend Tehmina Khalid confirmed Ayesha Khan’s passing, stating that she had died five days earlier in Karachi.
Aged 77, Ayesha Khan was a respected figure in the Pakistani television industry, known for her prominent roles in popular dramas such as Afshan, Aroosa, Family 93, and Mehndi.
She had been away from the spotlight and drama industry for several years. Ayesha Khan was also the elder sister of the late actress Khalida Riyasat.
