The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $350 million loan package for Pakistan to enhance women’s access to finance and promote economic empowerment. The initiative falls under the second phase of the “Women Inclusive Finance Sector Development Program.”
The package consists of a $300 million policy-based loan and an additional $50 million in financial assistance. ADB stated that the funds will support measures to improve women’s participation in entrepreneurship and increase their access to credit and financial guarantees.

According to ADB, the program is designed to remove barriers that limit women’s financial inclusion and to create a more gender-inclusive financial system across the country.
