Pakistani actress and TV host Juggan Kazim has publicly apologized to fellow actress Alizeh Shah after being accused of mocking her.
The controversy began when Alizeh Shah shared a video on social media, naming several senior celebrities for past hurtful behavior. Among those mentioned were singer Shazia Manzoor, actor Yasir Nawaz, and Juggan Kazim.
In the video, Alizeh claimed that Juggan once mimicked her falling, which left her feeling insulted and hurt. She said the act was done in poor taste and contributed to her being trolled online.
In response, Juggan Kazim posted a video on Instagram, where she directly addressed Alizeh and offered a heartfelt apology.
“Alizeh beta, I’m truly sorry if I hurt you in any way,” Juggan said. “You’re my son’s age, and it pained me to hear that you were offended by something I did.”
Juggan explained that the video in question was recorded nearly four years ago and she did not realize it would still affect Alizeh. She added that she would have apologized earlier if Alizeh had reached out privately.
Now that the matter has been made public, Juggan said it was only fair to respond publicly. She emphasized that she did not intend to hurt anyone, especially a younger colleague.
The veteran host also spoke about being bullied herself in her early career. She said this gives her a better understanding of how damaging such experiences can be.
“I know how it feels to be mocked,” Juggan said. “That’s why I would never want to be the reason someone feels the same pain.”
Juggan’s apology has been well received on social media. Many fans praised her for being humble and accepting her mistake gracefully. One user wrote, “This is how seniors should behave. Juggan has shown great maturity.”
The incident has opened up a wider conversation about how young artists are treated in the industry and the importance of empathy among colleagues.
