Iranian President Pezeshkian Postpones Visit to Pakistan

Iranian President Postpones Visit to Pakistan

Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian has postponed his planned visit to Pakistan, which was originally expected to take place this week. The delay was confirmed by diplomatic sources from both countries on Friday.

Officials say the visit was postponed due to scheduling issues, and new dates are being discussed. The Foreign Office of Pakistan confirmed that talks with Iranian counterparts are ongoing to finalize a revised schedule. A formal announcement is expected soon.

President Pezeshkian’s visit was expected to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two neighboring countries. It would have marked his first official trip to Pakistan since taking office.

While the visit has been delayed, officials remain confident that the high-level engagement will take place in the near future. The Iranian and Pakistani governments are working closely to ensure the visit occurs at a mutually convenient time.

Meanwhile, President Pezeshkian addressed Iran’s Foreign Ministry during a recent event in Tehran. In his speech, he strongly condemned the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“I can’t bear the situation in Gaza,” he said. “Where are the European countries that talk about human rights? What are the so-called champions of human rights doing for Gaza?”

His comments reflected growing frustration in Iran over what it sees as a lack of international action to end the suffering in the region.

President Pezeshkian also praised the Iranian people for their unity during recent conflict. Referring to what he called the “12-day war” against Israel, he said, “The Iranian nation has set a great example of unity and consensus. No power in the world can defeat a united Iranian nation.”

The speech highlighted Iran’s firm stance on Gaza and broader regional issues, adding further weight to President Pezeshkian’s foreign policy approach.

Despite the postponement, the upcoming visit to Pakistan remains an important diplomatic event for both countries, focusing on trade, security cooperation, and regional stability.
