PMD predicts heavy rains in Karachi,

Karachi — Rain is expected in some parts of southeastern Sindh, including the state capital Karachi, due to the new weather system.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a new warning on Sunday, predicting heavy rain in parts of Sindh province. Thunderstorms and rains with isolated heavy rains are said to have hit Karachi, Hyderabad, Tharparka, Umerkot, Milpurka, Baadin, Thatta, Sujawal and Matthiari districts today.

From today there will be sporadic rains in Jacobabad, Sukkur, Hailpur, Cashmore, Gotki, Larkana, Dadu, Kambal Shahadakot and Jamshoro districts.

PMD also warned that the new rainy season could cause flooding in some cities, including Karachi. Earlier, Climate Minister Shelly Lehman warned all affected ministries and communities to remain vigilant and prepare for heavy rains.
