Pakistan dispatches another consignment of humanitarian aid to support the people of Gaza, following the directives of the Prime Minister.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), a special flight carrying 100 tons of relief goods departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. This marks the 21st consignment sent under ongoing relief efforts.
The latest shipment included ration bags, ready-to-eat meals, and canned fruit. With this dispatch, Pakistan has so far sent a total of 2,027 tons of aid to Gaza through 21 consignments.
Earlier, on August 23, Pakistan dispatches its 19th consignment from Lahore, carrying 100 tons of aid. In addition, a smaller consignment of 12 tons was sent from Islamabad as part of the relief operations.
A ceremony was organized at Lahore airport to mark the departure of the 21st shipment. Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain attended as the chief guest, alongside senior NDMA officials and government representatives.
The minister praised NDMA and partner welfare organizations for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of aid. He highlighted Pakistanโs commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during this humanitarian crisis.
โPakistan stands firmly with the people of Palestine in these testing times and will continue extending all possible assistance,โ Chaudhry Salik Hussain said.
Pakistan dispatches aid to Gaza as part of its ongoing pledge to provide food, medical supplies, and other essentials to those affected by conflict. The government has reaffirmed its determination to continue humanitarian support until the needs of Palestinians are met.
With consistent efforts, Pakistan has demonstrated solidarity with Palestine, ensuring that critical supplies reach Gaza despite challenging conditions.
