The BOP President, Mr Zafar Masud, addressed the business community during an interactive session held at the FPCCI Regional Office in Lahore. He also serves as President and CEO of The Bank of Punjab and Chairman of the Pakistan Banks Association.
The session was chaired by FPCCI Regional Chairman Mr Zaki Aijaz. It included participation from several business and committee members. Key attendees included Mr Manzoor ul Haq Malik, Mr Kashif Khokhar, Mr Sardar Mian Nadeem Bara, and Ms Falahat Imran. Members of the FPCCI Executive Committee and General Body were also present.
During his speech, the BOP President highlighted the importance of the banking sector in Pakistan’s economic progress. He stressed that banks play a key role in supporting growth and development across different sectors.
The BOP President also shared details about various financing programs introduced by The Bank of Punjab. These initiatives are designed to support small and medium enterprises, women entrepreneurs, agriculture, and youth empowerment. He said these sectors are vital for long-term economic stability.
He further explained that easier access to financial services can help boost entrepreneurship in the country. According to him, innovative banking solutions are necessary to support new businesses and expand existing ones.
The BOP President emphasized that sustainable economic development depends on strong financial inclusion. He said that providing simple and accessible banking facilities can encourage more people to start and grow businesses.

In addition, a book discussion session was held during the event. The book focused on leadership and resilience, highlighting real-life experiences and lessons. Attendees shared their reflections on its themes and relevance to professional growth.
