Gold Prices in Pakistan Have Surged, Reaching an All-Time High

On Thursday, Gold Prices in Pakistan surged, mirroring a rise in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the cost of gold per tola increased by Rs1,400, reaching Rs254,900.

The price of 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs1,201, bringing it to Rs218,536. This follows a prior increase of Rs1,200 per tola on Wednesday.

Internationally, gold prices rose as well, with the price per ounce climbing by $17 to $2,432, plus a $20 premium, as per APGJSA’s report.

In contrast, silver prices in the local market remained unchanged at Rs2,900 per tola.

Earlier in the month, gold prices in Pakistan had already hit a record high, with the per tola rate rising by Rs4,600 to Rs254,000.

This pattern highlights the market’s volatility and the impact of both local and global economic factors on precious metal prices.
