The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) and the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) have entered into a significant agreement valued at Rs. 12.5 billion to advance Pakistan’s technology sector.
This partnership represents a crucial step in the country’s drive towards technological innovation and development. Situated on a sprawling 46.88-acre site in Haripur, NRTC’s operational facility is set to become a hub of state-of-the-art tech infrastructure.
NRTC’s high-tech production capabilities span various cutting-edge fields, including information and communication technologies, biomedical advancements, agritech solutions, robotics, power innovations, and AI-driven Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

The rapid advancement of this project is supported strategically by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), highlighting STZA’s essential role in Pakistan’s economic development strategy. The signing ceremony at STZA’s Islamabad headquarters marks the beginning of a vital collaboration aimed at accelerating the growth of Pakistan’s technology sector. To further encourage development, STZA has introduced a decade-long grant initiative, inviting both public and private institutions to invest in Pakistan’s burgeoning knowledge ecosystem.
