Qatar Airways has announced an expansion of its flight operations to Pakistan and other countries. The airline plans to operate dozens of additional flights over the next 15 days.
Sources reported that inbound flights from the Middle East to Pakistan are currently crowded. Outbound flights, however, have fewer passengers, reflecting travel patterns and seasonal demand.
Over the past 28 days, Pakistan faced widespread flight disruptions. More than 2,400 flights were cancelled nationwide. At Allama Iqbal International Airport, 11 flights were cancelled during this period. The disruptions have affected both local and international travelers.
Qatar Airways officials said the expanded schedule aims to accommodate passengers and improve connectivity. The airline is focusing on routes with high demand while ensuring operational safety and efficiency.
Meanwhile, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume direct flights to London starting March 29, 2026. This marks the first time in six years that PIA will offer non-stop flights from Islamabad and Lahore to the UK.
PIA will operate four weekly flights to London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4. The airline expects the new service to provide smoother, faster, and more comfortable connections for passengers traveling between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
Travel analysts said the combined efforts of Qatar Airways and PIA reflect growing international travel demand from Pakistan. Qatar Airways continues to strengthen its presence in the region, offering more options for passengers seeking flights to and from the Middle East.
Officials also noted that passengers should check flight schedules carefully due to ongoing changes and disruptions. The expansion by Qatar Airways is expected to ease travel pressures, especially for inbound flights, while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
