DOHA: Qatar Airways announced it will operate 29 flights to and from Doha on Thursday following temporary authorization from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
The airline confirmed 15 departures from Doha and 14 arrivals into the city. These flights aim to maintain connectivity amid ongoing regional developments and rising travel demand.
Qatar Airways services will link Doha with key international destinations, including Pakistan, Beijing, New York, Madrid, London, Cairo, Johannesburg, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Delhi, Colombo, Jakarta, and Manila.
Inbound flights will also arrive from Cairo, Dallas Fort Worth, London Heathrow, Paris, Rome, Jeddah, Muscat, Hong Kong, Seoul, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Melbourne.
A Qatar Airways spokesperson said the expanded schedule ensures passengers can travel safely and efficiently despite airspace restrictions in the Middle East due to the Iran war.
The ongoing conflict has caused disruptions for other airlines, especially Indian carriers, which rely on Middle East air corridors to reach Europe and North America. Since Pakistan banned Indian airlines from its airspace last year, these carriers have limited flight options.
Data from Cirium shows that Air India and IndiGo did not operate 64% of their 1,230 scheduled flights to Europe, North America, and the Middle East in the past 10 days due to rerouting challenges.
Aviation experts note that Qatar Airwaysโ decision to maintain operations highlights its ability to adapt quickly during regional disruptions. The airlineโs proactive scheduling supports both business and leisure travelers.
Officials added that passengers should check their flight status regularly and adhere to safety protocols at airports. Qatar Airways continues to prioritize passenger safety while keeping international routes open.
