Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the entry test schedule for higher education programs. The tests are for PhD, MPhil and MS admissions.
The entry tests will be held for the Autumn 2026 semester. The testing process will begin on August 24 and continue until August 28, 2026.
According to the official schedule, applicants from the Faculty of Education will take their test on August 24. Candidates must appear on the date assigned to their faculty.
Applicants applying to programs under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities will take their test on August 27. The Faculty of Sciences will conduct its entry test on August 28.
All entry tests will start at 9:00 AM. Candidates have been advised to arrive at their selected test centre on time.
AIOU has provided applicants with several options for appearing in the entry test. Candidates can choose any listed test centre based on their convenience.
However, applicants cannot change the test date assigned to their respective faculty. They must appear according to the official schedule.
The university will conduct the tests at multiple locations across Pakistan. The main testing venue will be the Academic Complex at the main campus.
The main campus is located in H-8, Islamabad. Regional campuses in other cities will also facilitate candidates.
The listed regional centres include Multan, Quetta, Karachi and Gilgit. This arrangement is intended to provide greater accessibility for applicants.
AIOU has also clarified the selection process following the entry tests. Only candidates who qualify in the entry test will proceed to the interview stage.
Applicants who do not meet the required test criteria will not be called for interviews. The university will assess eligible candidates through the next stage.
Final merit will be determined after completing both the entry test and interview process. The university will consider the results of these stages for final selection.
