AIOU Announces New Admission Rules for HSSC Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering Programs

AIOU Announces New Admission Rules for HSSC Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering Programs

AIOU has introduced new admission rules for students applying to HSSC Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering programs under the Autumn 2026 admissions. The university has updated the eligibility criteria to ensure that only qualified candidates are admitted to these science programs.

According to the latest guidelines, AIOU will only accept applications from students who have completed Matric with Science subjects. Applicants must have passed all compulsory and elective subjects during their Matric examinations to become eligible for admission.

The university has clearly stated that students who do not meet this requirement will not be considered for the Pre-Medical or Pre-Engineering programs. The revised policy is aimed at maintaining academic standards for science education.

Under the new rules, students who received an F grade in any compulsory or elective Matric subject cannot apply for admission. The university has confirmed that such candidates will not qualify for either of the two HSSC science programs.

AIOU has also announced new document submission requirements for applicants. Students must attach an attested copy of their Matric Science certificate with the admission form at the time of applying.

The university clarified that a Matric result card alone will not be accepted as proof of qualification. Only the official Matric Science certificate will fulfill the admission requirement.

Applicants are advised to arrange the required documents before submitting their admission forms. Incomplete applications or missing certificates may lead to delays or rejection during the admission process.

The university has also issued special instructions for students enrolling in the first semester. These students must get their Matric Science certificate verified by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

After completing the verification process, students are required to upload the verified certificate to their CMS account. This step has been made mandatory under the updated admission policy.

University officials warned that students who fail to complete the IBCC verification process may face difficulties later. In particular, they could encounter problems when applying for their final academic certificate after completing their studies.

The revised admission rules are intended to simplify the verification process while ensuring that student records remain accurate. Officials believe these measures will help avoid documentation issues during the later stages of academic programs.

Students planning to apply for the Autumn 2026 admissions are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility criteria before submitting their applications. They should also ensure that all required documents are complete and properly verified.
