The Sindh College Education Department has directed all regional offices, attached departments, and public colleges to launch Official Websites within 30 days. The decision aims to improve digital access to public information and services across the province.
The department issued a circular stating that many offices and regional directorates still do not have Official Websites. It said this situation has become a challenge as more public services are moving online. The department believes every institution should have an online presence to serve students and the public more effectively.
According to the circular, all concerned authorities must complete the task within the given deadline. These include the director general, regional directors, principals, and directors of institutions working under the Sindh College Education Department.
The department said the new websites will help improve transparency and communication. They will also make it easier for students, parents, and other stakeholders to access important information without visiting offices in person.
Each institution has been instructed to include essential details on its website. These include the office profile, contact information, notifications, circulars, public notices, and staff directory. The websites must also display the organizational structure, academic programs, admission details, available facilities, and graduation fee structures.
In addition, the Official Websites should provide downloadable forms, applications, and policy documents. They must also include a grievance redressal or feedback system. Compliance information and other materials required under official rules should also be available for public access.
To support the project, the department’s IT wing will provide technical assistance. It will help institutions with website development, hosting, cybersecurity, design, content migration, and maintenance. The IT team will also ensure that websites meet accessibility and standardization requirements.
The circular emphasized that all websites must become fully functional and publicly accessible within 30 days of the order. After completing the work, each office and institution must submit a compliance report to the department.
The Sindh College Education Department warned that failure to follow the instructions will be taken seriously. Any office or institution that does not meet the deadline may face administrative action under the relevant rules and regulations.
