2018 Elections: Top 10 Candidates with Highest Vote Counts

As the February 8 elections approach, political parties in Pakistan are intensifying their campaigning efforts to secure victory. The 2018 general elections experienced lower voter turnout, and candidates who secured the highest number of votes in various constituencies played significant roles in shaping the political landscape.

Chaudhry Shaukat Ali Bhatti, representing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), emerged victorious with the highest number of votes, securing 165,835 votes in the NA-87 constituency. This victory marked a notable achievement for the PTI in that particular region.

Imran Khan, the cricketer-turned-politician and founder of PTI, participated in the 2018 elections from NA-95, where he secured 165,518 votes, standing as the second-highest among all candidates. Imran Khan’s popularity and electoral success contributed to PTI’s overall performance.

Tahir Sadiq, another PTI candidate, vied in the 2018 elections from NA-56, securing 164,178 votes and becoming the third-highest vote-getter. This indicated strong support for PTI candidates in various constituencies.

Ahsan Iqbal, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), contested from NA-78, securing 160,020 votes in the 2018 elections. PML-N’s performance in this constituency showcased its continued presence and influence.

Parvez Elahi, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), ran in the 2018 elections from the NA-65 constituency, securing 158,477 votes. PML-Q’s electoral successes demonstrated the diversity of political representation.

These examples illustrate the competition and dynamics within different constituencies during the 2018 elections. The varied support for candidates from PTI, PML-N, and PML-Q showcased the diverse political landscape in Pakistan.
