Independent candidate Raja Khurram Nawaz formally aligned himself with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday.
Raja Khurram made his affiliation with the PML-N official after having been elected as the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from NA-48 in the recent elections.

In a parallel development, the PML-N reached out to 12 lawmakers who had previously defected. Party sources indicated that these dissatisfied lawmakers are expected to convene with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif after receiving assurances.
Insiders familiar with the situation stated, ‘If the 12 defected lawmakers rejoin the PML-N, the party would find itself in a significantly strengthened position.’
