PML-N Secures Simple Majority in Punjab Assembly for Government Formation

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has achieved a simple majority in the Punjab Assembly, independently gathering the necessary numbers for government formation.

With the inclusion of independent candidates, the PML-N’s representation in the provincial assembly has risen to 151 seats. Considering the allocation of 33 seats for women and 4 for minority communities, the total reaches 188. Surpassing the requirement of 186 members for government formation, the PML-N comfortably secures its position.

The influx of independent members into the PML-N fold has facilitated government formation in Punjab, strengthening the party’s standing.
