Amitabh Bachchan Refutes Hospitalization Rumors

Veteran Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan recently refuted reports of undergoing an angioplasty in a video that surfaced on social media. Exiting from Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane after the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) final, Bachchan responded to queries about his health by holding up his hands to indicate everything was fine and dismissing the reports as “fake news” with a wry smile.

Reports by Indian Express, ABP Live, and Filmfare had earlier circulated regarding Bachchan being treated for a clot or blocked artery in his leg. However, the brief clip from the stadium seemed to contradict these reports, suggesting Bachchan’s well-being.

Bachchan, accompanied by his son Abhishek Bachchan, had attended the match to support his team Majhi Mumbai in the inaugural ISPL, despite their loss to rivals Tiigers of Kolkata. In a blog post, Bachchan encouraged his team not to lose heart, emphasizing the value of the fight, even in defeat.

Expressing his admiration for sportsmanship, Bachchan lauded his son Abhishek for his graciousness in meeting all the players after the match, regardless of the outcome. Despite facing delays at the stadium entrance and witnessing his team’s loss, Bachchan left with fond memories, particularly highlighting his interaction with cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar at the ISPL final.

Reflecting on his time spent with Tendulkar, Bachchan expressed admiration for Tendulkar’s deep knowledge and insights into the game, describing the experience as “magical.” This enthusiastic encounter with his cricketing hero suggests Bachchan’s continued enjoyment of excellent health and appreciation for sportsmanship.
