Aneet Padda Shares Her Thoughts on 'Homebound'

Aneet Padda, the rising star known for her role in Saiyaara, recently shared her thoughts on the film Homebound. The 22-year-old actress revealed that the movie left a deep impact on her. She said it moved her to tears and stayed with her long after she left the cinema hall.

On October 2, Padda took to her Instagram story to praise the cast and crew of Homebound. She highlighted the director Neeraj Ghaywan’s sensitive storytelling and his ability to bring out the best in the performers. “The way you listen, the way you see, it’s what makes this film breathe long after it’s over,” she wrote.

Padda also appreciated the performances of Vishal Jethwa, Ishaan Khatter, and Janhvi Kapoor. She described their acting as both “fearless and delicate” and said it gave viewers a piece of themselves. She thanked producer Karan Johar for making the film possible and added that she walked out “heavy-eyed, but lighter in soul.”

Homebound has been chosen as India’s official entry for the Best International Feature category at the Oscars.

The drama is inspired by journalist Basharat Peer’s New York Times article Taking Amrit Home, which explores friendship, loss, and the human spirit during a pandemic. Its emotional storytelling has resonated with audiences and critics alike, capturing attention across social media.

After her successful debut in Saiyaara, Aneet Padda is emerging as a promising talent in Indian cinema. Fans are eagerly awaiting news of her next project. Rumors suggest she may star in a courtroom drama titled Nyaya, although she has not confirmed the role yet.

With Homebound gaining international recognition and Aneet Padda’s candid reflections on its impact, both the film and the actress continue to make headlines.
