Renowned Pakistani actress Asma Abbas recently shared her thoughts on marriage during a podcast, offering valuable advice to young brides. Known for her iconic roles in dramas like Dumpukht, Akbari Asghari, and Mann Jogi, Abbas highlighted the importance of setting boundaries in relationships.
She urged young women to approach marriage thoughtfully, stressing the need to recognize both the strengths and weaknesses of a partner. “Perfection is unrealistic,” she said, adding that leaving a spouse over minor flaws could lead to disappointment. “The next spouse could be worse than the previous one.”

Abbas also pointed out the changing dynamics in modern communication, advising brides to be more mindful in their discussions with their husbands. “We used to sugarcoat our words, but today’s generation tends to be harsher. It’s important to speak calmly,” she remarked.
She concluded her advice by addressing the critical issue of abuse, urging women to leave relationships where they face violence or mistreatment. “If your husband hits you, there is no looking back,” she warned.
