Kannada actress Shobitha Shivanna, 32, was found dead in her Hyderabad apartment, with authorities suspecting suicide. The Gachibowli police reported discovering her hanging at her Kondapur residence.
“A case has been registered, and investigations are underway to establish the cause and circumstances of her death,” a police official stated. Her body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem.

Shobitha was a prominent figure in the Kannada film industry, known for her roles in acclaimed films such as Eradondla Mooru and U-Turn. She also starred in television hits like Mangala Gowri and Brahmagantu.
Fans and colleagues expressed shock and grief over her passing. Actress Geeta Bharti Bhatt mourned her loss on Instagram, calling Shobitha a joyful and inspiring presence.
