Pakistani actress Laiba Khan recently revealed the story behind her nikkah during a special Ramadan transmission Shan-e-Sahoor on ARY Digital. She confirmed that her nikkah with Jawad took place in 2024 and shared details about their journey.
Laiba Khan explained that the news remained private because she has few friends in the industry. She said, “Since I don’t have much friends in industry, so the news had least chance to get leaked.” This allowed her to keep the nikkah discreet.
While discussing her proposal story, Laiba Khan shared that she started acting in 2018. After performing small roles, she gained recognition in the industry. She revealed that Jawad first noticed her in a show and through her TikTok videos. He messaged her expressing that he was a fan and wanted to meet her during his visit to Karachi.
Khan candidly admitted she initially refused his invitation in 2019. She said, “Aise kaise ap kissy ko bol sakte hain k mai milne a rha hu,” and ignored his message at the time. Even birthday wishes from Jawad were ignored until 2022.
The turning point came during a media-related event when Jawad attended and knew Laiba would also be present. They greeted each other but didn’t have a long conversation. The next day, she received a WhatsApp message from him saying, “It was really nice meeting you.” He reminded her that he was the same person she met the night before.
Laiba Khan revealed that they started simple conversations. After a few months, Jawad proposed. He shared his life experiences and told her, “Mujhe ap se shaadi krne hai.” Laiba responded that she was only 19 and focused on her career. She admitted to having fondness for him. Her father accepted the proposal instantly, while her mother took a little time.
In the end, Laiba Khan confirmed that her nikkah with Jawad was completed back in 2024. She expressed gratitude for the privacy and the understanding shown by both families during the process.
