After Ducky Bhai, YouTuber Mudassir Hassan Arrested in Explosive Gambling App Scandal

Pakistani YouTuber and content creator Mudassir Hassan has been arrested in Lahore on charges of promoting illegal gambling apps. The news has left his fans in shock, as the influencer was widely followed across social media platforms.

According to officials, Mudassir Hassan is accused of being involved in a multi-million-rupee online betting racket. His arrest comes as part of a wider investigation into the rise of unregistered gambling apps in Pakistan.

Crackdown on influencers

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) confirmed that its operation is not limited to one arrest. Authorities are also targeting three other popular YouTube channels, including Sisterology, run by TikTok star Iqra Kanwal. Notices have already been served, and pressure is building on these internet celebrities to clarify their alleged roles.

Officials claim that the accused were luring young people into downloading betting apps, which resulted in massive financial fraud. Citizens have reportedly lost significant savings through these schemes. NCCIA has warned that anyone avoiding investigation may have their name placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) to prevent them from fleeing abroad.

Not the first high-profile case

This is not the first time a well-known influencer has been caught in such a scandal. Just weeks earlier, YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, was detained at Lahore Airport under similar charges of promoting illegal betting platforms.

Growing fear among influencers

The arrest of Mudassir Hassan highlights the government’s growing efforts to curb online scams and protect citizens from financial exploitation. With the crackdown intensifying, Pakistan’s influencer community is on high alert, fearing further arrests in the days ahead.
